Job summary

Jobs247 in Arbroath is seeking a Multi-skilled Engineer to support site maintenance, improvements and training of engineers and apprentices. You will monitor systems, perform preventative maintenance, and coordinate access using the Fixx system to record work and uphold food safety standards.

You will assist on large projects, respond to faults, and work Monday to Friday days and backs on a 40-hour week, on-site with a competitive salary and benefits including pension and health support.

Qualifications

• Time-served engineer with an electrical or mechanical apprenticeship or similar qualifications.
• Good communication skills and an aptitude for teamwork.

Job description

In this Multi-skilled Engineer role, you will support the training and development of other engineers, apprentices, and support development of training material.

What you'll build and improve

• Monitor, test, and adjust various systems across the site, ensuring optimal performance
• Carry out routine scheduled maintenance as set out in the planned preventative maintenance system
• Plan access to areas and equipment to fulfil and closeout work requests using the Fixx system to create a record of work and ensure food safety
• Assist the engineering team on large project work such as installation of new production lines, alterations, and upgrades to areas whether internal or external to the buildings

What you'll bring

• Monday to Friday dayshift and backshift (on rotation basis), full-time, 40 hours per week with some flexibility required
• When required you will be expected to assist contractors to accomplish their tasks and support them while they are on site
• To respond to equipment faults and breakdowns as required
