Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Operative to support electrical installation, maintenance, testing, fault diagnosis and repair across multiple sites, ensuring all planned and remedial works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

The role requires BS 7671 18th Edition, strong understanding of electrical systems, and the ability to read drawings. You will work independently or as part of a team and contribute to safety initiatives, toolbox talks and

Qualifications

• Qualified to BS 7671 18th Edition in Electrical Installations.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and safe working practices.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and maintenance instructions.
• Self-motivated, well-organised and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
• Professional, respectful and confident in raising safety concerns when required.

Responsibilities

• Complete electrical installations and support wiring tasks across site-based activities.
• Carry out electrical testing, fault diagnosis, repairs and updates to maintenance work orders.
• Use appropriate test equipment safely and apply correct procedures.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and ensure no live working is undertaken.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards and participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings.
