Job summary

Platform Housing Group is seeking a skilled Roofer to join our busy repairs and maintenance team covering Herefordshire and Worcestershire. You will maintain and repair roofs, carry out patches, and complete refurbishments in customers’ homes with a focus on quality and safety.

The role requires significant roofing experience, a valid driving licence, and DBS clearance. You will work both independently and as part of a team, delivering excellent customer service in a busy, mobile environment.

Qualifications

• Significant roofing experience.
• Time served or a roofing qualification is beneficial.
• Self-motivated and willing to learn.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience with social landlords, housing associations or councils is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Full, valid driving licence is essential for a mobile role.
• DBS check required because work is in customers’ homes.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of roofs and associated structures.
• Carry out patch repairs and refurbishments.
• Install and replace roofs including tiles, slate, felt and flashing.
• Work on flat roofs, ridges, hips, chimneys and gutters.

Calling all Roofers in Herefordshire and Worcestershire!

Have you got the right tools for the job?

Platform Property Care are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Roofer to join our busy repairs and maintenance team covering Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

What could you be doing?

Responsible for the maintenance and repair of ourproperties, you'll be completing patch repair work and refurbishments. You will be able to install and replace roofs, and be competent to deliver:

• Tile and slate
• Felting roofs
• Flat roofs
• Ridge and hip tiles
• Chimneys
• Flashing
• Pointing
• Rainwater gutters and down pipes

We want somebody who can:

A team player, you'll be hard working and keen to learn with a can-do attitude. You'll be working in people's homes, so you'll need to be friendly and approachable with good communication skills.You'll also need to be organised and recognise the importance of delivering good customer service.

Some things we need from you:

• You'll have significant roofing experience
• Time served or a roofing qualification will be a benefit
• Be self – motivated
• Willing to learn new skills
• You must be able to work alone, and as part of a team
• Experience of working for a social Landlord, Housing Association or Council.
• Strong customer service skills
• Full current validdriving Licenceessential as this is a mobile role
• As you will be working within Customer's homes this role requires a DBS check.

There is also the opportunity to earn additional from being on the out of hours rota as required.

This role is for a team based in Herefordshire and Worcestershire you will need to live in this area.
