Job summary

Platform Housing Group, through Platform Property Care, is recruiting a Roofer to service Herefordshire and Worcestershire. You will repair, refurbish and install roofs, including tile, slate, felting, flat roofs, and related elements, while delivering great customer service in customers' homes.

You must have significant roofing experience, a driving licence for a mobile role, and be ready for a DBS check. Time served or a roofing qualification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Significant roofing experience is required.
• Time served or roofing qualification preferred.
• Must be able to work alone or as part of a team.
• Experience with social landlords, housing associations or councils is advantageous.
• Full valid driving licence is essential for a mobile role.
• DBS check is required for working in customers' homes.

Responsibilities

• Carry out roof installations and replacements.
• Perform patch repairs and refurbishments.
• Work on tile, slate, felting and flat roofs.
• Deal with flashing, chimneys, gutters and pointing.
• Deliver excellent customer service during on-site visits.
• Work independently or as part of a team to complete jobs.

Calling all Roofers in Herefordshire and Worcestershire!

Have you got the right tools for the job?

Platform Property Care are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Roofer to join our busy repairs and maintenance team covering Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

What could you be doing?

Responsible for the maintenance and repair of ourproperties, you'll be completing patch repair work and refurbishments. You will be able to install and replace roofs, and be competent to deliver:

• Tile and slate
• Felting roofs
• Flat roofs
• Ridge and hip tiles
• Chimneys
• Flashing
• Pointing
• Rainwater gutters and down pipes

We want somebody who can:

A team player, you'll be hard working and keen to learn with a can-do attitude. You'll be working in people's homes, so you'll need to be friendly and approachable with good communication skills.You'll also need to be organised and recognise the importance of delivering good customer service.

Some things we need from you:

• You'll have significant roofing experience
• Time served or a roofing qualification will be a benefit

• You must be able to work alone, and as part of a team
• Experience of working for a social Landlord, Housing Association or Council.
• Strong customer service skills
• Full current validdriving Licenceessential as this is a mobile role
• As you will be working within Customer's homes this role requires a DBS check.

There is also the opportunity to earn additional from being on the out of hours rota as required.

This role is for a team based in Herefordshire and Worcestershire you will need to live in this area.
