Job summary

Platform Property Care, part of Platform Housing Group, is seeking a skilled Roofer to service Skegness, Boston and surrounding areas. You will perform maintenance, repairs and refurbishments on social housing properties, including roof installation and replacements, with a focus on quality customer service.

The role requires significant roofing experience, a self-motivated approach, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

Qualifications

• Significant roofing experience.
• Time served or a roofing qualification would be beneficial.
• Be self-motivated and willing to learn new skills.
• Able to work alone and as part of a team.
• Experience with social landlords, housing associations or councils is advantageous.
• Strong customer service skills are required.
• Full valid driving licence is essential for a mobile role.
• DBS check required as you will work in customers' homes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair properties, perform patch repairs and refurbishments.
• Install and replace roofs and related components.
• Work on tile, slate, felting, flat roofs, ridge/hip tiles, chimneys, flashing, pointing, gutters and downpipes.

Platform Property Care are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Roofer to join our busy repairs and maintenance team covering Skegness, Boston and the surrounding areas.

Platform Property Care are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Roofer to join our busy repairs and maintenance team covering Skegness, Boston and the surrounding areas.

What could you be doing?

Responsible for the maintenance and repair of our properties, you'll be completing patch repair work and refurbishments. You will be able to install and replace roofs, and be competent to deliver:

• Tile and slate
• Felting roofs
• Flat roofs
• Ridge and hip tiles
• Chimneys
• Flashing
• Pointing
• Rainwater gutters and down pipes

We want somebody who can:

A team player, you'll be hard working and keen to learn with a can-do attitude. You'll be working in people's homes, so you'll need to be friendly and approachable with good communication skills. You'll also need to be organised and recognise the importance of delivering good customer service.

Some things we need from you:

• You’ll have significant roofing experience
• Time served or a roofing qualification will be a benefit
• Be self – motivated
• Willing to learn new skills
• You must be able to work alone, and as part of a team
• Experience of working for a social Landlord, Housing Association or Council.
• Strong customer service skills
• Full current validdriving Licenceessential as this is a mobile role
• As you will be working within Customer's homes this role requires a DBS check.

There is also the opportunity to earn additional from being on the out of hours rota as required.

This role is for a team based in Skegness, Boston and the surrounding areas you will need to live in this area.
