Job summary

Platform Property Care, part of Platform Housing Group, is seeking a Multi Skill Trades Carpenter based in Worcestershire and Oxfordshire. You will focus on carpentry while delivering void refurbishments and related works across residents’ homes.

You will be mobile across towns and must have a full driving licence. The role includes overtime opportunities and benefits through the employer’s scheme.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 Carpentry.
• Experience as a Carpenter in the building trade.
• Experience delivering multi-trade work in housing.
• Good IT skills and able to use a PDA / Microsoft Outlook.

Platform Property Care need an experienced Multi Skill Trades Carpenter based in Worcestershire and Oxfordshire to join our talented Repairs & Maintenance team and help us maintain and improve our homes, ensuring our customer's homes are maintained and repaired to a great standard.

You will be a Multi Skill Trades Carpenter and carpentry will be your focus, but experience in other trades is an advantage, as you will be delivering Voids Refurbisments.

The role is varied. No two days will be the same and you will meet a wide range of customers along the way. It's a tough task and our expectations are high. In return, you'll have the support of a great team.

You'll be working in people's homes, so you'll need to be friendly and approachable with good communication and customer service skills. You'll also need to be organised and recognise the importance of delivering work right first time.

We want someone who has:

• NVQ L2 Carpentry
• Experience of working as a Carpenter in the building trade either as a Carpenter or as a multi-skilled Carpenter
• Experience of working for a Social Landlord, housing association or council
• Associated trade skills of plumbing, plaster patching, decorating and wall tiling
• Experience of delivering multi-trade work
• Good organisational skills
• Experience of keeping jobs on track
• The drive to ensure works are completed quickly and efficiently
• Good IT Skills. Experienced using a PDA. Experience of using Microsoft and Outlook email.
• Full current valid driving Licenceessential as this is a mobile role
• As you will be working within Customer's homes this role requires a DBS check.

There is also the opportunity to earn additional from being on the out of hours rota, which is required.

This role is for a team covering Voids in the following towns so you would need to live here: Wyre Forest, Droitwich, Bromsgrove, Redditch, Evesham, Stratford-on-Avon, Oxford, Bicester, Heyford Park, Kidlington.
