Job summary

Platform Property Care is seeking an experienced Multi Skill Trades Carpenter to join our Repairs & Maintenance team covering Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas. You will perform carpentry-focused repairs while delivering multi-trade maintenance, ensuring homes are maintained to a high standard.

Occasional out-of-hours work and a full driving licence are expected as the role is mobile and requires visiting customers in their homes across Nottinghamshire and nearby areas.

Qualifications

• NVQ L2 Carpentry required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out multi-trade repairs in customers' homes as part of a Repairs & Maintenance team.
• Deliver multi-trade carpentry work to high standards.
• Be flexible to cover Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas including Newark and surrounding towns.
• Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues; provide a friendly, reliable service.

Job description

Platform Property Care need an experienced Multi Skill Trades Carpenter based in Nottinghamshire and the surrounding area to join our talented Repairs & Maintenance team and help us maintain and improve our homes, ensuring our customer's homes are maintained and repaired to a great standard.

You will be a Multi Skill Trades Carpenter and carpentry will be your focus, but experience in other trades is an advantage, as you will be delivering Multi Trade repairs and maintenance.

The role is varied. No two days will be the same and you will meet a wide range of customers along the way. It's a tough task and our expectations are high. In return, you'll have the support of a great team.

A team player, you'll be hard working and keen to learn with a can-do attitude. You'll be working in people's homes, so you'll need to be friendly and approachable with good communication and customer service skills. You'll also need to be organised and recognise the importance of delivering work right first time., Experience of working as a Carpenter in the building trade either as a Carpenter or as a multi-skilled Carpenter

• Experience of working for a Social Landlord, housing association or council
• Associated trade skills of plumbing, plaster patching, decorating and wall tiling
• Experience of delivering multi-trade work
• Good organisational skills
• Experience of keeping jobs on trackThe drive to ensure works are completed quickly and efficiently
• Good IT Skills. Experienced using a PDA. Experience of using Microsoft and Outlook email.
• Full current valid driving Licence essential as this is a mobile role
• As you will be working within Customer's homes this role requires a DBS check.

There is also the opportunity to earn additional from being on the out of hours rota, which is required.

This role covers Nottinghamshire and South West Lincolnshire, so you'll need to be based in or within easy reach of Nottingham or Newark., This role is mobile, so it is essential you have a current valid driving licence. Unfortunately, we cannot progress applications from applicants who do not hold this.

Basic salary of up to £36,848 per annum (depending on experience) plus opportunity to earn more from out of hours and voluntary overtime
