Job summary

Platform Property Care, part of Platform Housing Group, seeks an experienced Multi Skill Trades Carpenter based in Nottinghamshire to join the Repairs & Maintenance team. You will focus on carpentry while delivering multi-trade repairs to homes in the area.

You will be a team player with good communication, aiming to complete work right first time and provide excellent customer service. A driving licence is essential for this mobile role.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or equivalent.
• Experience as a Carpenter in the building trade or as a multi-skilled carpenter.
• Experience working for a social landlord, housing association or council.

Responsibilities

• Deliver multi-trade repairs and maintenance in customers' homes.
• Carpentry-focused tasks with other trades as needed.
• Meet customers, communicate clearly and ensure work is completed right first time.

Platform Property Care need an experienced Multi Skill Trades Carpenter based in Nottinghamshire and the surrounding area to join our talented Repairs & Maintenance team and help us maintain and improve our homes, ensuring our customer's homes are maintained and repaired to a great standard.

You will be a Multi Skill Trades Carpenter and carpentry will be your focus, but experience in other trades is an advantage, as you will be delivering Multi Trade repairs and maintenance.

The role is varied. No two days will be the same and you will meet a wide range of customers along the way. It's a tough task and our expectations are high. In return, you'll have the support of a great team.

We want somebody who can:

A team player, you'll be hard working and keen to learn with a can-do attitude. You'll be working in people's homes, so you'll need to be friendly and approachable with good communication and customer service skills. You'll also need to be organised and recognise the importance of delivering work right first time.

We want someone who has:

• NVQ L2 Carpentry
• Experience of working as a Carpenter in the building trade either as a Carpenter or as a multi-skilled Carpenter
• Experience of working for a Social Landlord, housing association or council
• Associated trade skills of plumbing, plaster patching, decorating and wall tiling
• Experience of delivering multi-trade workGood organisational skills
• Experience of keeping jobs on track
• The drive to ensure works are completed quickly and efficiently
• Good IT Skills. Experienced using a PDA. Experience of using Microsoft and Outlook email.
• Full current valid driving Licenceessential as this is a mobile role
• As you will be working within Customer's homes this role requires a DBS check.

There is also the opportunity to earn additional from being on the out of hours rota, which is required.

This role covers Nottinghamshire and South West Lincolnshire, so you'll need to be based in or within easy reach of Nottingham or Newark.
