Job summary

Charter Vets seeks an experienced Reception Manager to lead reception teams across four veterinary practices, shaping a consistent, outstanding client experience for pets and their owners.

You will provide visible leadership, manage recruitment and development, and drive improvements in client journeys and commercial performance across all sites. This role requires travel between practices and a proactive, people-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience in a reception, customer service or team leadership role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good IT and administrative abilities.
• Ability to travel between four practice locations.
• Proven track record in leading teams to deliver excellent client service.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop reception teams across four veterinary practices.
• Provide visible leadership across all sites and manage recruitment onboarding and 1-2-1s.
• Oversee performance, attendance and people-management processes.
• Ensure effective rotas and staffing across practices.
• Maintain high standards of client service and handle client complaints.
• Monitor client journey and drive improvements in experience and engagement.
• Champion Pet Health Plan integration and communicate its benefits to clients.
• Collaborate with Practice Managers and clinical teams to improve operations.
• Share best practice across sites and drive commercial performance.
• Provide hands-on reception support as needed.
