Job summary

Vets for Pets in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Practice Manager to oversee three veterinary practices across Oxfordshire. You will partner with Practice Owners and Clinical Director to shape culture, structure, and operational excellence for outstanding patient and client care.

You will lead day-to-day operations, develop teams, and drive growth while ensuring high standards across all sites. Previous veterinary management experience is essential to guide multiple locations effectively.

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary practice management experience.
• Proven experience leading, developing and motivating teams.
• Strong people management and HR experience.
• Experience managing operational performance and implementing improvements.
• Customer service and client relationship management experience.
• Experience analysing business performance and implementing commercial initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operational management of three veterinary practices.
• Create and foster a positive, high-performing culture built on shared responsibility and accountability.
• Manage all non-clinical people matters, including HR processes, performance management, absence management, recruitment, onboarding and colleague development.
• Support, coach and develop colleagues to help them reach their full potential.
• Address and manage conduct or performance concerns promptly and professionally.
• Ensure an exceptional client journey remains at the heart of everything we do.
• Monitor service standards and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
• Work closely with the Clinical Director and Practice Owners to implement business objectives and strategic initiatives.
• Identify operational efficiencies and implement processes that improve practice performance.
• Drive practice growth through local initiatives, client engagement and commercial opportunities.
• Analyse business performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability and sustainability.
• Handle client feedback and complaints professionally and effectively.
• Maintain strong communication across all three sites to ensure consistency and collaboration.
