Northern Trains Limited is seeking a hands-on on-site leader to drive train presentation excellence across multiple depots. You will guide teams, set clear standards, and maintain high performance while staying calm under pressure.

You will coordinate rotas, visits, and inspections, coach staff, and handle difficult conversations when necessary. Strong Excel skills and a proactive, patient approach are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and supervising teams in a fast-paced, industrial setting.
• Strong, patient communicator who can support people with different needs.
• Confident decision-maker who can manage absence, performance and behaviours.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and organise train presentation teams across multiple depots.
• Be a visible presence on site, checking in with teams, ensuring standards.
• Manage rotas, site visits, inspections, and performance checks.
• Encourage continuous improvement and coaching of your teams.
• Support colleagues, including those newer to the language or environment.
• Use Excel and other digital tools to manage tasks and records.
• Travel between sites as needed to support operations across the business.
• Admin tasks: manage diary, meetings, room bookings, and communications.
