Northern is seeking an experienced Station Supervisor for Manchester Piccadilly to lead day-to-day operations, manage train movements, and respond to disruption with calm under pressure.

You will coordinate with Train Operating Companies, signalling centres, and Network Rail, supervise station teams, and drive safety, customer service, and performance at one of the UK’s busiest rail hubs.

Qualifications

• Experience in station operations or railway environment.
• Strong knowledge of railway operating procedures and safety requirements.
• Experience managing service disruption and decision-making under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate train movements and operational activity to keep services safe and on track.
• Act as central point of contact between station operations, TOCs, signalling centres and Network Rail.
• Lead delay attribution investigations and ensure accurate reporting.
