Job summary

Restore plc is seeking a Safety, Health & Environment Manager to lead SHE across a Midlands portfolio with UK-wide travel. Permanent role, 37.5 hours, £40,000 salary and £4,800 car allowance. You will embed ISO 45001/14001 aligned practices, coach site teams, and drive risk-based improvements.

The role partners with Site and Compliance Managers, balancing hands-on support with strategic insight to deliver compliant, efficient operations and strong safety culture across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent Level 3 qualification.
• Experience with ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001 systems.
• Experience in a Health & Safety role within an operational environment.
• Working knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation.
• Experience supporting risk assessments, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Strong communication skills to engage operational teams.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical SHE advice and support to site teams on day-to-day activities.
• Provide balanced support and challenge to ensure SHE standards are met.
• Build strong relationships with operational managers to support risk management.
• Conduct site visits, inspections, and engagement activities.
• Support delivery of SHE communications, briefings and campaigns.
• Support implementation of the Health & Safety Management System aligned to ISO 45001.
• Support environmental compliance in line with ISO 14001.
• Assist in risk assessments and safe systems of work reviews.
• Support Fire Risk Assessments and related actions across sites.
• Support contractor management, RAMS and permit-to-work controls.
• Promote safe behaviours and increased reporting of near misses.
