Job summary

Selwood, part of the Workdry International Group, is seeking a Health & Safety professional to lead SHE across branches in England, Wales and Scotland. This role will embed a strong safety culture, manage ISO audits, risk assessments, incident investigations and environmental compliance, and partner with senior stakeholders to drive improvements.

The position requires travel across the South of England and Wales and a commitment to regulatory excellence.

Qualifications

NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (or working towards).
IEMA qualification or environmental management experience.
ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification.
Membership of IOSH or IEMA.
Experience in construction, utilities, pump/plant hire, or manufacturing.
Experience in supply chain safety and environmental compliance.
Knowledge of UVDB accreditation, Network Rail PTS, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

Ensure a safe workplace environment by supporting ISO compliance.
Develop, review and maintain SHE policies, procedures and risk assessments.
Maintain statutory obligations including training, reporting and regulatory compliance.
Conduct regular compliance reviews, audits, and site inspections.
Lead risk assessments for equipment, tasks and environmental impacts.
Support waste management and pollution control.
Assist environmental reporting and permits compliance.
Lead investigations into workplace incidents and implement root-cause actions.
Communicate SHE updates and deliver training programmes.
Plan travel to support frontline teams.
