Job summary

Astrea Academy Trust is seeking aSenior Site Manager to lead strategic and operational site management across Longsands Academy and Ernulf Academy. You will oversee day-to-day maintenance, safety compliance and project delivery, ensuring two campuses remain secure and fully operational for students and staff.

You will report to the Estates Repairs & Maintenance Manager and work closely with academy leaders to coordinate maintenance activities, manage risks, support capital works and drive

Qualifications

• Significant experience in site, facilities or estates management.
• Experience leading and developing teams in busy operational environments.
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance, fault finding and practical problem solving.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements and safe working practices.
• Experience managing contractors and monitoring service quality.
• Excellent organisational skills with ability to prioritise across multiple sites.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 and digital compliance/maintenance systems.
• Proactive, resilient and solutions-focused with strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop site teams across both academies.
• Oversee maintenance of buildings, grounds, plant and equipment.
• Carry out hands-on repairs, fault diagnosis and minor works as appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, fire safety, water hygiene, asbestos, COSHH and other regulations.
• Coordinate contractors and planned maintenance to deliver safe, high-standard work.
• Maintain site security arrangements, alarms, access control and emergency procedures.
• Support business continuity planning and respond to emergencies and operational challenges.
• Maintain accurate compliance and maintenance records and assist budget planning.
