Job summary

Henlee Resourcing has been retained by a niche manufacturing, engineering and construction business to recruit an experienced HR Manager. The role reports to a progressive Director and will support two sites (Stonehouse/Stroud and Wolverhampton) with frequent travel between them.

The successful candidate will lead employee relations, provide employment law guidance, support organisational development, ensure legislative compliance and drive HR best practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 qualification or above.
• Significant experience in a standalone Senior HR Advisor / HR Manager role, ideally in manufacturing, engineering or industrial sectors.
• Strong employee relations experience.
• Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law.
• Experience managing complex HR cases independently.
• Excellent investigation and report writing skills.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• Ability to challenge constructively and professionally.
• Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively.
• Full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Lead employee relations cases from start to finish and conduct investigations into disciplinary, grievance, absence, and conduct matters.
• Provide practical advice on employment law and HR best practices; maintain and update company policies and ensure compliance with legislation.
• Coach managers on development and performance improvement; support probation reviews and succession planning.
• Manage recruitment campaigns, screen CVs, coordinate interviews, and support onboarding and induction processes.
• Act as a trusted advisor to managers and promote consistent people practices across both sites.
• Lead HR improvement projects and contribute to employee engagement and culture initiatives.
