Job summary

Jobs4 is seeking a Group HR Manager to lead its day-to-day people operations across five sites, supporting around 400 employees. This senior generalist role combines hands-on delivery with strategic advice to managers, helping standardise processes and drive employee relations across multi-site operations.

The ideal candidate will have UK employment law expertise, CIPD qualification (Level 5 or 7), and a track record of supporting customer-facing teams in retail or hospitality.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be an experienced HR generalist with multi-site exposure.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
• Proven ability to handle complex employee relations cases.
• Experience supporting customer-facing teams.
• Willingness to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, and wellbeing.
• Conduct investigations and formal hearings with clear guidance to managers.
• Coach managers on performance management, absence and day-to-day issues.
• Oversee recruitment, induction, engagement, learning and development, and reward.
• Maintain employment contracts, HR policies, employee records and right-to-work checks.
• Update the staff handbook in line with employment legislation and uphold data protection requirements.
• Support and develop a part-time HR Officer and liaise with Payroll.
