Job summary

AWD online is seeking an HR Manager to shape people strategy across a growing multi‑site operation, partnering with operational leaders on employee relations, engagement, performance and change. CIPD Level 5 and a full UK driving licence are essential.

The role covers recruitment, workforce planning, engagement and people data, coaching managers, and maintaining a visible HR presence across sites with 60–70% travel across North England, London, Surrey and Berkshire.

Qualifications

• Minimum CIPD Level 5
• Full, clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel
• Proven HR experience in a fast-paced, multi-site environment
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law
• Data analysis and reporting skills with commercial judgement
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Provide customer-focused HR advice and trusted partnership to operational leaders
• Build credible relationships across sites and support functions
• Analyse HR KPIs and trends to identify priorities, root causes and actions
• Lead HR projects, onboarding, apprenticeships, policies and procedures
• Own recruitment for designated sites and workforce planning
• Coach managers to strengthen leadership capability and decision-making
• Guide managers on employment law and manage ER matters
• Manage absence and liaise with outsourced HR advisory services
• Support pay reviews, performance, engagement and retention initiatives
• Prepare people insights for business review meetings
