Job summary

Balfour Winery in Staplehurst, Kent, seeks an experienced Hospitality Manager to lead day‑to‑day operations across the winery’s restaurant, kitchen, guest dining spaces and The Winemakers Pub. This hands‑on, multi‑site leadership role focuses on consistent standards and exceptional guest experiences.

You’ll recruit, train and develop FOH teams, coordinate with the kitchen, manage rosters and stock, and help shape events and seasonal hospitality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in hospitality, multi-site a plus.
• Strong communication and guest-facing service skills.
• Excellent organisational abilities for busy service periods.
• Collaborative with kitchen, management and FOH teams.
• Passion for great food and wine and delivering memorable experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support front-of-house teams across the winery and The Winemakers Pub.
• Oversee dining service and daily operational standards.
• Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure smooth, high‑quality service.
• Ensure a consistent guest experience across all venues.
• Recruit, train and develop FOH staff.
• Assist with rota planning, stock control and reporting.
• Uphold premium brand standards in every interaction.
• Contribute to events, seasonal hospitality initiatives.
