Job summary

Buckfast Abbey in Buckfastleigh is seeking a Hospitality Team Leader to oversee the accommodation and restaurant operations, primarily evening shifts, leading teams, supporting management, and delivering memorable guest experiences.

You will collaborate with chefs and managers across venues, ensure high hospitality standards, health and safety compliance, and help implement company policies while promoting a positive, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or leading hospitality teams in a busy setting.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate and organise teams across venues.
• Approach to health and safety, security and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support team members during shifts.
• Deliver excellent customer service and uphold high hospitality standards.
• Oversee front-of-house operations in the absence of management.
• Support restaurant operations and service delivery.
• Collaborate with chefs and managers to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Handle guest feedback professionally and effectively.
• Identify opportunities to maximise revenue and enhance guest experiences.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, food hygiene and licensing requirements.
