Job summary

HR-CL Ltd in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead kitchens across multiple sites in and around the city. You will run each kitchen, uphold high standards, and provide dependable cover for absences and busy periods, with weekdays kept free.

This daytime, Monday–Friday role offers £16-£20 per hour, weekly pay and holiday pay. A full UK driving licence and DBS check are required, and you’ll travel between sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef.
• Full UK driving licence and your own vehicle.
• Enhanced DBS check required (or a current certificate on the update service).
• Full understanding of allergens and dietary requirements.
• Self-sufficient and adaptable to new environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and cook high-quality meals to a consistent standard.
• Lead and support kitchen teams at each site.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and allergen management.
• Settle quickly into new kitchens and teams.
