Job summary

Pertemps Network Group is recruiting an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of a busy site in Leicester. This hands-on role combines facilities management, health and safety, team leadership, contractor management and customer service to keep the site safe, efficient and high quality.

You’ll lead a small facilities team, manage contractors and budgets, and coordinate maintenance, room bookings and service levels.

Qualifications

• Experience managing and supporting a team.
• Good knowledge of health and safety legislation, risk assessments and compliance.
• Experience managing contractors, suppliers and facilities contracts.
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and general building maintenance.
• Experience managing budgets and monitoring expenditure.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing and supporting a small facilities team, including training, 1:1s and performance reviews.
• Ensuring the site meets health, safety and statutory compliance requirements.
• Completing and reviewing risk assessments, audits and health and safety procedures.
• Overseeing building maintenance and preventative maintenance programmes.
• Managing contractors, suppliers and facilities contracts.
• Monitoring service levels and ensuring work is completed to agreed standards.
• Supporting maintenance, refurbishment and improvement projects.
• Managing facilities-related budgets and expenditure.
• Coordinating room bookings and set-ups.
• Providing excellent customer service and resolving facilities queries promptly.
• Acting as a point of contact for escalated issues.
• Working closely with internal teams, contractors and suppliers to ensure the smooth running of the site.
