Job summary

Macdonald & Company seeks an experienced Facilities Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract in Manchester, overseeing facilities across a multi-site commercial portfolio. You will partner with property and asset management teams to maintain high standards and deliver an exceptional occupier experience.

The role requires proven FM experience, strong H&S knowledge, and the ability to lead on health, safety and business continuity, with responsibility for budgets, contractors and on-site teams.

Qualifications

• Proven facilities management experience in a commercial environment.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety and relevant legislation.
• Experience with M&E and hard/soft services.
• Experience managing teams, suppliers and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Manage facilities across multiple commercial sites.
• Oversee hard and soft services, including M&E, cleaning, security and front of house.
• Lead on health & safety, compliance, risk and business continuity.
• Manage contractors, suppliers, budgets and on-site teams.
• Support ESG and sustainability objectives.
• Build strong relationships with occupiers and respond to their needs.
• Identify opportunities to improve service quality, efficiency and customer experience.
