Job summary

Teach Midlands seeks an ambitious Assistant Operations Manager to join our Trust Central Team and help manage the estate across five academies. Based at Trust HQ, Wellingborough, with travel across trust sites, you will coordinate maintenance programmes and oversee compliance to keep environments safe and welcoming.

You will work with academy leaders, site teams and contractors to deliver projects and ensure safe, well-maintained buildings for pupils and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience within facilities, estates or premises management.
• Strong understanding of health and safety and statutory compliance requirements.
• Ability to manage contractors and prioritise workloads.
• Experience supervising staff and maintaining accurate records.
• Experience in a school, academy or multi-academy trust environment would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance programmes across multiple sites.
• Oversee statutory compliance and safety requirements.
• Support refurbishment projects and site inspections.
• Provide practical assistance to site teams and contractors.
• Balance strategic priorities with hands-on delivery.
• Supervise staff and manage multiple priorities with accurate records.
