Job summary

Wellspring Academy Trust is seeking a Site Operative to lead compliance and maintenance across the West area, supporting multiple academies within the Trust and ensuring estates operations run smoothly.

Role involves monitoring the TRM estates management system, providing training to users, implementing policies, and improving buildings and grounds to benefit pupils and staff. It also supports safeguarding and DBS checks as part of the selection process.

Qualifications

• To help lead compliance and maintenance across the West area.
• Provide a customer-led estates and facilities service across multiple academies within the Trust.
• Ensure academies premises are maintained to a high standard.
• Ensure estates team delivers a clean, safe, secure learning and working environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and update the estates management system (TRM) across multiple sites, including health and safety and inspections.
• Support and provide training to TRM users to effectively use the system.
• Assist with implementing systems, policies and procedures for smooth site operations.
• Contribute to development of academy sites to improve buildings and grounds for teaching and learning.
• Contribute to the 5-year estates maintenance plan cycle.
• Assist with inspection and condition of school grounds, buildings and facilities.
• Co-ordinate specialist contractors.
• Undertake planned preventative maintenance and minor improvements across sites.
• Perform other trades where skill level permits.
• Ensure duties comply with statutory regulations and current legislation.
