Job summary

Pareto FM is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our facilities management engineering team. This hands-on role covers planned and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of sites, with ownership of electrical maintenance, fault finding and compliance.

You’ll work as part of a five-engineer team, supporting building-services activities and contributing to a robust callout rota. Training and progression opportunities are available within FM.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance.
• Good understanding of electrical regulations and safe systems of work.
• Experience working in commercial buildings/FM/building services.
• Ability to work independently while being part of a wider engineering team.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative electrical maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance across sites.
• Fault finding, diagnosis and electrical repairs.
• Maintain power distribution, lighting, emergency systems and associated plant.
• Complete electrical replacements, remedial works and upgrades.
• Conduct inspections, testing and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure work complies with BS 7671 and current UK electrical regulations.
• Respond to electrical faults and minimise disruption to site operations.
• Maintain accurate job, maintenance and compliance records.
• Produce clear reports on completed works and outstanding actions.
• Liaise with colleagues, contractors and the Facilities Management team.
• Provide technical electrical support as required.
• Support other building-services maintenance activities as part of the wider team.
