Job summary

Paretofm is seeking a qualified Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our Facilities Management engineering team. This hands-on role covers planned and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of sites, with ownership of electrical maintenance, fault finding and compliance.

You’ll work within an established engineering team in a commercial FM environment, with potential for progression into supervisory roles and additional training across engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

• Essential: NVQ Level 3 or above in Electrical Installation or an equivalent recognised electrical qualification.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance.
• Good understanding of electrical regulations and safe systems of work.
• Experience working within commercial buildings/FM/building services.
• Ability to work independently while being part of a wider engineering team.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations experience/knowledge would also be highly relevant.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance.
• Fault finding, diagnosis and electrical repairs.
• Maintain power distribution, lighting, emergency systems and associated plant.
• Complete electrical replacements, remedial works and upgrades.
• Carry out inspections, testing and maintaining accurate records.
• Ensure work complies with BS 7671 and current UK electrical regulations.
• Respond to electrical faults and minimise disruption to site operations.
• Maintain accurate job, maintenance and compliance records.
• Produce clear reports on completed works and outstanding actions.
• Liaise with colleagues, contractors and the wider Facilities Management team.
• Provide technical electrical support where required.
• Support other building-services maintenance activities as part of the wider engineering team.
