Job summary

Compass Group UK&I in Luton is seeking an experienced General Catering Manager to lead a newly mobilising multi-site catering contract. This senior role requires driving operational excellence, coaching teams, and delivering outstanding food and service across locations.

You will be the senior catering leader, embedding best practices, managing client relationships, and shaping standards from day one in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the change management and ongoing management of a multi-site catering operation.
• Drive excellence in food quality, customer experience, health & safety, and financial performance.
• Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and become a trusted operational partner.
• Coach, develop and support managers and frontline teams to reach their potential.
• Implement consistent standards, processes, training, and ways of working across locations.
• Monitor performance and identify opportunities to improve service delivery and efficiency.
• Manage budgets, labour costs, purchasing, and contract performance across the contract.
• Create a positive, customer-focused culture where colleagues feel supported and motivated to succeed.
