Job summary

Enhance Academy Trust is seeking a Senior Caretaker to travel between Wakefield, Kirklees and Barnsley academies, covering caretaking absences and supporting site teams with daily checks. The role requires practical trades skills and a full UK driving license to move between sites as needed.

Salary ranges from £26,403 to £28,142 per year, with a fixed term ending 31 August 2027. The post is based in a central Estates team reporting to the Director of Estates.

Qualifications

• Practical caretaking, site or building maintenance experience and hands-on skills across trades.
• Full UK driving licence and daily use of own vehicle for travel between academies.

Responsibilities

• Cover caretaking absence across Wakefield, Kirklees and Barnsley academies.
• Carry out repairs and small works and support site teams with daily checks.
• Open/lock sites and ensure openings and closings are completed on time.
