Job summary

The Supply Register is recruiting on behalf of a Multi Academy Trust for two Multi-Site Caretakers / Maintenance Operatives to join their Estates Team. This role covers several school sites and requires hands-on maintenance across locations, with a focus on safety and site upkeep.

The positions are 20 hours per week, permanent term-time (plus agreed working pattern) with an ASAP start. Applicants must have maintenance experience, a full UK driving licence and an Enhanced DBS (or willingness to

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Caretaker/Facilities role.
• Practical maintenance and repair skills.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain).
• Two references covering the last 24 months.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple school sites.
• Undertake basic repairs including carpentry, plumbing, painting, decorating and general building maintenance.
• Complete routine site inspections and health & safety checks.
• Ensure school buildings and grounds are safe, secure and well maintained.
• Carry out minor repairs to doors, locks, fixtures and fittings.
• Support with grounds maintenance and upkeep of external areas.
• Liaise with contractors and monitor works carried out on site.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and report any defects.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH and safeguarding procedures.
