Career Makers seeks an experienced Operations Manager to support a portfolio of care homes in Suffolk, ensuring high standards of care, compliance, and operational performance. Reporting to the Regional Operations Director, you will lead Home Managers and their teams to deliver resident-focused results while achieving financial and business objectives.

This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, coaching managers, analysing performance data, and building strong relationships

Qualifications

• Experience in an Operations Manager, Regional Manager, or senior leadership role within the care home sector.
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, compliance, and quality standards.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and driving performance.
• Inspirational leader with excellent people management and coaching skills.
• Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Full UK driving licence essential.
• NMC registration desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support to Home Managers, ensuring homes operate effectively and deliver outstanding resident care.
• Drive occupancy, financial performance, and achievement of business targets across your portfolio.
• Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
• Monitor quality standards and implement improvement plans where required.
• Support the recruitment, development, and retention of management teams.
• Analyse performance data and key metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, colleagues, commissioners, and regulatory bodies.
• Coach and mentor managers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
