Job summary

Worcester City Council is seeking flexible, professional Civil Enforcement Officers to join a high-performing team in Worcester city centre and neighbourhoods. You will enforce parking regulations, littering, fly-tipping and public space rules while engaging with residents and visitors.

The role involves patrolling, issuing notices, delivering clear advice, and supporting city-wide enforcement initiatives using modern tech. A rota including evenings, weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong customer service ethos with ability to educate and enforce.
• Practical, proactive mindset; able to work independently and in a wider team.
• Willingness to work a rota including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling designated areas and addressing contraventions.
• Issuing Penalty Charge Notices and Fixed Penalty Notices per policy.
• Providing clear, courteous advice and guidance to the public.
• Supporting city centre cleansing and enforcement initiatives.
• Utilising handheld devices, body-worn cameras and radios to deliver services.
• Working with colleagues, contractors and external agencies to improve community outcomes.
