Job summary
NEC Software Solutions UK is seeking a capable End User Support specialist to provide a single point of contact for NEC employees, handling desktop hardware and software issues across Windows, Android, and Linux environments. You will support staff in Chippenham with onsite and remote assistance, document resolutions in ISM, and promote best practices in security and efficiency.
The role requires proactive problem-solving, strong communication, and the ability to work under pressure.
Qualifications
- Experience with Windows 10/11 and Office applications.
- Ability to troubleshoot software and hardware issues across desktop/ laptop environments.
- Experience with Active Directory password resets and account creation.
- Experience imaging and building laptops and configuring peripherals.
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite & remote technical support for staff in Chippenham and wider business.
- Document, track, and monitor issues in the Helpdesk system for timely resolution.
- Set up, configure, maintain, and upgrade desktop PCs, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Ensure secure network access for remote users and maintain best practices for data security.
- Continuously learn new technologies and identify improvement opportunities.
