Job summary

The Francis Crick Institute is seeking a Bioinformatician/Computational Biologist to join the Malanchi Lab on a five-year ERC Synergy-funded project. You will analyse and integrate complex genomic, transcriptomic and epigenetic datasets, including bulk and single-cell data, to generate testable biological hypotheses and inform experimental design.

You will work closely with scientists across the project, develop computational methods, and contribute to publications while staying up to date with

Qualifications

• A degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, Java, C/C++ or Perl.

Responsibilities

• Analysing and integrating large-scale genomic and multi-omic datasets.
• Working with bulk and single-cell RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq, methylome and proteomic data.
• Developing computational approaches and algorithms to answer complex biological questions.
• Identifying patterns and signatures within datasets and translating these into biological insights.
• Communicating findings through project discussions, reports and publications.
