Job summary

WR Logistics in Eastleigh is hiring two Multimodal Freight Forwarding Operators to join a busy, office-based team. The role supports movement of shipments across multiple modes from booking to delivery, with a focus on accuracy and customer service.

Salary ranges £30,000-£38,000, 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday–Friday, with 25 days holiday. The ideal candidate has freight forwarding experience, a multimodal background is advantageous, and the ability to manage own workload in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day freight forwarding operations across multiple modes.

• Track shipments and update customers throughout the process.
• Resolve operational issues and respond to customer queries.
• Ensure shipments are handled in line with company procedures.

Are you an experienced Freight Forwarding Operator looking for your next opportunity?

We're currently working with a global logistics and courier business that is expanding its freight forwarding operation in Eastleigh and is looking to appoint two Multimodal Freight Forwarding Operators to join the team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid freight forwarding background who enjoys a varied operational role and wants to join an established international business.

The Role

Working as part of the freight forwarding operation, you'll be responsible for supporting the smooth movement of shipments from booking through to delivery, working across multiple modes and liaising with customers, overseas offices, carriers and other stakeholders.

The role will suit an experienced operator who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can manage their own workload while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing day-to-day freight forwarding operations across multiple modes
• Coordinating shipments from booking through to final delivery
• Liaising with customers, suppliers, carriers and overseas offices
• Preparing and checking shipping and customs documentation
• Tracking shipments and keeping customers updated throughout the process
• Resolving operational issues and responding to customer queries
• Ensuring shipments are handled accurately and in line with company procedures
• Supporting the wider team with general freight forwarding requirements

About You

We're keen to speak with candidates who have previous experience within freight forwarding operations and are confident managing shipments from start to finish.

You don't necessarily need to have experience across every mode, but a multimodal background would be highly advantageous.
