Job summary

Prime Appointments is seeking an experienced Export Administrator in Basildon, Essex. You will manage export bookings and multi-modal shipments across Air, Ocean and Road, ensuring accurate documentation and timely, cost-effective delivery.

You will liaise with customers, overseas partners and internal teams, handling invoicing, rate negotiations and compliance. A strong customer-service mindset and attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualifications

Solid background in freight forwarding and export operations.
Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities with accuracy.
Strong understanding of export documentation and booking processes.
Knowledge of customs procedures and tariff/duty principles.
Experience liaising with overseas agents, carriers, hauliers and logistics providers.

Responsibilities

Manage daily administration and coordination of export bookings and enquiries.
Coordinate multi-modal export shipments across Air, Ocean and Road freight.
Ensure customer requirements are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Arrange collections, overseas deliveries and customs documentation.
Liaise with customers, hauliers, carriers, overseas agents, 3PL providers and internal teams.
Create and manage shipments on LBase and record costs against jobs.
Complete export invoicing accurately and within timescales.
Negotiate competitive rates with suppliers and logistics providers.
Maintain accurate shipment records and compliance information.
Ensure shipments comply with customs regulations and international requirements.
Support sales with B2B enquiries, updates and lead generation.
Assist in developing new business and strengthening customer relationships.
