Job summary

Contract Scotland in the Falkirk area is seeking a Group Payroll Administrator on a full-time, permanent basis. The role covers payroll across multiple entities with different processes, pay structures and reporting requirements.

You will ensure accurate and timely payroll, handle tax and pension deductions, keep employee records up to date, and coordinate deadlines with managers and finance. This is an office-based role, offering stability in a growing group.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll processing across multiple entities or legal entities.
• Ability to manage different pay structures and processes.
• Experience with overtime, bonuses, allowances, and expenses.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Proactive and organized, able to resolve payroll queries.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing across multiple group entities, adapting to each entity's specific requirements and procedures.
• Calculate and process overtime, commission, bonuses, allowances, travel expenses and other variable pay elements.
• Maintain accurate employee records, processing starters, leavers, salary changes, contractual amendments and changes to working hours.
• Process PAYE, National Insurance, pension contributions, statutory payments and other payroll deductions accurately.
• Complete payroll checks and reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and resolve issues ahead of pay dates.
• Coordinate different payroll deadlines, ensuring all inputs and approvals are received and processed on time.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and reporting requirements.
• Liaise with employees, managers and finance colleagues to resolve payroll queries and improve processes where possible.
