Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd, recruiting on behalf of a leading client in Newcastle, is seeking dedicated Van Drivers to join the team. You will deliver to residential and commercial customers, handling 80+ stops per day with starts from 08:00.

This temp-to-perm position offers a clear progression path and pays £12.71 per hour PAYE. Applicants must hold a UK driving licence, have 1 year of multi-drop delivery experience, and be capable of loading and unloading packages.

The Recruitment Crowd is currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Newcastle area. We are looking for several dedicated Van Drivers to join the team.

Hours: Across Monday to Sunday, 08:00am - 08:30am starts

Pay Rate : £12.71 per hour PAYE

Location: Newcastle, NE37

Job Type: Temp to perm

The role:

• Safely and efficiently operate a company van to deliver to customers (residential and commercial).
• 80+ stops per day.
• Manually load and unload vehicles with packages.
• Follow established delivery routes and schedules.
• Ensure all parcels are handled with care and delivered in a timely manner.
• Provide exceptional customer service to recipients and senders.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements:

• A valid UK driver's license.
• have 1 years experience with multi-drop delivery.
• Have no more than 6 points on licence (minor offenses only).
• Have a recent DBS check or be willing to obtain one.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Physical ability to manually load and unload vehicles.
• Flexibility to work 5-6 shifts per week, including weekends.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
