Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of a well-known client in the Carlisle area for several multi-drop van drivers. Shifts are Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday, starting at 09:00.

You will safely deliver parcels from a company van, load and unload where required, keep the vehicle clean, and provide excellent customer service while meeting delivery deadlines in the Carlisle area.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid UK driving licence.
• Experience delivering and handling parcels a plus.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Good time management and ability to work to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate a company van to deliver parcels.
• Deliver to door-to-door or lockers as required; manage 50–100 stops or 100+ lockers.
• Represent the brand professionally and maintain a clean, well-presented vehicle.

Job description

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Carlisle area. We are looking for several dedicated multi-drop van drivers to join the team.

Shifts: Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday

Hours: 09:00am start

Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour PAYE

Location: Carlisle, CA6 4RD

Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.

The role:

• Safely and efficiently operate a company van to deliver parcels
• Drivers may be required to do door to door (50-100) or lockers (100+)
• Positively representing the brand, maintaining a clean vehicle and being a courteous driver.
• Safe loading and unloading of parcels on to a van.
• Delivery of products, goods and parcels safely and efficiently to designated locations within set timeframes.
• Ensure proper handling and delivery of sensitive materials with authorisation, if necessary and deliver high standards of customer care.
• Properly use and maintain delivery equipment, including handheld scanner, to deliver shipments

Requirements:

• A valid UK driver's license.
• Multi- drop experience (preferable).
• Have no more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Physical ability to manually load and unload vehicles.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
