Job summary

Solvit Recruitment are seeking an experienced Multi Drop Van Driver for a Leicestershire area route. This self-employed role starts with a four-week temp period, moving to a full-time position, with weekly pay and a route of up to 80 stops per day for business and domestic deliveries.

You will pair with another driver in week one, maintain accurate delivery records, and demonstrate excellent customer service. A clean licence and clean bans history are required.

Qualifications

• UK Driving Licence with over 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• Excellent customer service is essential.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a fixed delivery route with up to 80 parcel drops and collections for business and household customers in Leicestershire.
• Work with another driver for the first week to learn routes and processes.
• Adhere to schedules, complete loading/unloading and paperwork, and maintain vehicle inspections.

Job description

Solvit Recruitment are looking for Multi Drop Van Drivers.

This is a self-employed role, Payee only.

We are looking for an experienced business Multi Drop Van driver with good knowledge of the Leicestershire area.

This is a short temp to perm 4 weeks, followed by a full time job, paid weekly.

You will have your own set route of deliveries up to 80 and collections (Parcels) from business users to general household in the Leicestershire area, you will have excellent communication skills oral and written and have pride in your work.

Your first week you will be teamed up with another driver learning the route and the processes.

You will have experience as a multi-drop van driver, and you will have a clean licence and not served a ban in the last 5 years, as you will be dealing with customers we are looking for a driver that will have excellent customer skills.

You will have your daily route and schedules which you will follow in a timely manner, your collections you will have to load, some loads maybe up to 30kg.
This will be Monday to Friday with a 07:30 - 17:30

When full time you will have 1-4 Saturdays, which will be 07:00 - 12:00.

Bonus available when full time.

Average hours 45 per week.

Rate of Pay.
Monday to Friday £13.31 per hour.

Weekly £598.95
Yearly from £31.145.

Requirements

• UK Driving Licence with over 1 years commercial driving.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Previous multi-driving experience.
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication oral and written.
• Excellent customer service essential.
• Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of deliveries.
• 1 years Commercial Van Driving experience.
• No DR, DD, TT, IN and not served any bans in the last 5 years.
