Job summary

Major Logistics in Lutterworth is recruiting an experienced Multi Drop Van Driver to join our well-established client base. The role offers steady work, a Monday–Friday schedule, and a company van for deliveries to customer sites.

You will perform pre/post trips, maintain high safety standards, and communicate effectively with dispatch. Overtime is paid after 8 hours with routine weekly pay and training provided.

Qualifications

• Holding a licence for at least 12 months.
• Recent multi-drop delivery experience.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• Able to read and speak English to required level.
• Punctual and good timekeeping.
• Good communication and flexible for overtime.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Drive van safely to delivery locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Ensure timely, safe deliveries to customer sites.
• Liaise with dispatch and customers.
• Report vehicle defects to management.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Adhere to driving hours and regulations.

Major recruitment are currently recruiting experienced Multi Drop Van to join our well-established client based in Lutterworth. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-known supplier of household goods with plenty of ongoing work available.

Daily duties will consist of but are not limited to:

• Operating and driving a van safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations
• Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensuring timely, safe and professional deliveries to customer sites
• Knowledge of driving/working hours
• Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
• Keeping the van and equipment clean and tidy

Essential Skills

• Must have held licence minimum 12 months
• Must have previous recent experience in multi drop deliveries.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no major endorsement codes.
• Must be able to speak and read a certain level of English.
• Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Flexibility and availability to work overtime as and when required.
• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.

Desirable Experience

• Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial.
