RE Recruitment Group is recruiting a Multi-Drop Delivery Van Driver for a Cheltenham-based builders' merchant. The role is full-time with an annual salary of £28,000 and scope to progress to an HGV licence funded by the employer.

Typical duties include loading/unloading, order picking, assisting customers, and maintaining a safe yard. The candidate should hold a full UK driving licence (3 points max) and have basic health and safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• A FULL Driving Licence (with no more than 3 points).
• Be able to drive a 3.5-ton van on their licence.
• Experience in warehouse/yard/builders merchant or construction environment is advantageous.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.

Responsabilités

• Loading and unloading customer and supplier vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Picking and preparing customer orders for collection and delivery.
• Assisting customers within the yard and providing excellent service.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Handling stock and building materials safely.
• Delivery of lighter goods that don't have to be delivered by lorry.
• 15/20 drops per day in the Cheltenham area, with some deliveries outside the immediate area.

Our client, a well-established and highly respected builders' merchant based in Cheltenham, has an exciting opportunity for a Multi-Drop Delivery Van Driver to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis due to continued business growth.

After a satisfactory qualifying period, there is the possibility for the successful candidate to progress and to undertake the HGV Licence. The main lessons and test would be covered by the employer to the tune of approximately £3k while you would be responsible for the Hazard Perception and Theory which would cost approximately £400 (Subject to certain conditions to be agreed in advance).

The successful Multi-Drop Delivery Van Driver should have:

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 7:30am to 4:30pm/ 08.00 to 17.00 (One hour for lunch)
• One Saturday in three: 7:30am to 12:30am
