Job summary

First Bus is seeking a Garage MTV Analyst and Garage Support Assistant at Wandsworth Garage to join our team. You will work with data to ensure accurate mileage reporting and support TfL compliance while assisting with day-to-day garage operations.

The role combines analytical tasks with administrative duties, requiring strong numerical and reporting skills, excellent organisation and communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Numerical, analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• Previous administrative experience and strong organisational skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience producing reports and handling large data sets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Proactive, with the ability to work independently or in a team.
• Familiarity with Health & Safety procedures.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately record and analyse lost mileage data using the Missing Trip Verification (MTV) system
• Monitor and evaluate log cards and service controller input for accuracy
• Investigate discrepancies in mileage reporting and identify opportunities for cost recovery
• Produce, review and maintain detailed mileage reports for internal stakeholders and TfL submissions
• Monitor and audit operational data to ensure accuracy and compliance with reporting standards
• Support internal and external audits and assist with maintaining accurate records
• Provide administrative support to Operational management
• Handle enquiries from employees, visitors and members of the public via phone, email and in person
• Maintain garage databases, accident records, lost mileage information and other operational documentation
• Manage lost property administration and provide general clerical support including filing, document preparation and meeting coordination
