Job summary

The six-month senior administrator post sits in the Sirona MSK administration team, supporting the MSK/POD Service for patients with musculoskeletal conditions. You will oversee day-to-day tasks of administrative colleagues across defined localities, covering appointments, workforce allocation, caseloads and patient communication, alongside EMIS records and data quality.

You will have line management responsibilities and may cover for a Band 5 Administration Lead.

Qualifications

• Experience of line managing, training and mentoring colleagues, including performance management
• Ability to handle complex, sensitive messages and complaints
• Strong written communication for bespoke letters and email correspondence
• Experience following SOPs/policies and contributing to service development
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage colleagues

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day work of administrative colleagues across defined localities
• Manage appointment booking, workforce allocation, caseload management, patient communication and post-clinic actions
• Support development and maintenance of diaries, templates and documentation in the EMIS system
• Monitor data quality and support audits to identify improvement areas
• Line manage, train and mentor colleagues, including one-to-one meetings and performance management
• Support workforce planning, staffing levels and recruitment
• Deputise for Band 5 Administration Lead during absences
