Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd in London is seeking an MRICS Quantity Surveyor to join its cost management team on a permanent basis. Hybrid working, diverse projects across commercial, residential, and mixed-use, with ownership of projects and clear progression.

You will manage full lifecycle, prepare cost plans, tender docs, lead cost management and contract administration (JCT/NEC), and act as key client contact. Strong London PQS experience and MRICS essential; attractive salary + bonus + benefits.

Qualifications

• Chartered MRICS Quantity Surveyor or nearing qualification.
• Solid PQS/consultancy experience, preferably in London market.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing full project lifecycle from feasibility to final account.
• Preparing cost plans, estimates, tender documents and procurement advice.
• Leading day-to-day cost management and contract administration (JCT/NEC).
• Acting as the key client contact and coordinating project teams.
• Mentoring junior surveyors and contributing to BD efforts.

About the Opportunity

I'm working with a well-established London construction consultancy that's looking to strengthen its cost management team with an MRICS Quantity Surveyor.

This practice has built its reputation on delivering intelligently managed, design-led projects across London - spanning commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments. They operate with a strong sense of professionalism and pride in their work, balancing technical precision with a genuinely collaborative culture.

This role offers the chance to work closely with experienced directors, take real ownership of your projects, and progress quickly within a structured but flexible environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing the full project lifecycle from early-stage feasibility through to final account.
• Preparing cost plans, estimates, tender documents, and procurement advice.
• Leading day-to-day cost management and contract administration (JCT / NEC).
• Acting as the key point of contact for clients and project teams.
• Providing input into business development and mentoring junior surveyors.

What You'll Bring

• Chartered MRICS Quantity Surveyor (or very close to qualification).
• Solid PQS / consultancy experience, ideally in the London market.
