Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking a proactive Quantity Surveyor to join its London team on a hybrid basis. You will contribute to cost planning, tendering, contract administration, and cost control across diverse construction projects, while building strong client relationships.

We value a degree in Quantity Surveying, experience in consultancy, and the drive to progress MRICS status. You will work with a collaborative team and receive APC support, mentoring, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Experience in a consultancy or client-side environment.
  • Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract, including JCT.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and cost management skills.
  • Strong communication and client-facing abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • MRICS status in progress or achieved (desirable).

Responsibilities

  • Preparing cost plans, estimates, and budgets.
  • Producing tender documentation and managing procurement processes.
  • Evaluating tenders and preparing tender reports.
  • Administering contracts and managing change control.
  • Preparing valuations, cost reports, and final accounts.
  • Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks.
  • Providing accurate commercial advice to clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Supporting senior team members on complex commissions while managing your own workload.

A well-established and highly respected construction consultancy is looking to appoint an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join its growing team. Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing cost plans, estimates, and budgets.
