Job summary

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Mouth Care Trainer on a 12-month fixed-term basis. You will deliver the Supervised Tooth Brushing Scheme across schools in Northumberland and North Tyneside, while providing training and practical support to staff and families to implement the programme.

You will also contribute to wider mouth care education across health and community settings, ensuring effective delivery and continuity of service through a small, supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering training across schools or community settings.
• Knowledge of oral health promotion and public health principles.
• Ability to tailor education for varied audiences including staff, families and educators.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Supervised Tooth Brushing Scheme in schools across Northumberland and North Tyneside.
• Provide training, education and practical support to school staff.
• Coordinate resources and maintain stock for programme delivery.
• Record activity accurately and report data for contract monitoring.
• Promote healthy oral health behaviours and reduce inequalities.
• Collaborate with Mouth Care Team to ensure service resilience.
