Job summary

East of England Community Health & Care NHS Trust in Peterborough is hiring to plan, coordinate and deliver evidence-based oral health improvement programmes across West Northamptonshire. You will work with health, education, social care professionals and community partners to tailor activities to diverse groups and settings.

You will monitor progress, evaluate outcomes, and report to commissioners and senior management, ensuring services align with national guidance and local priorities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, develop, deliver, monitor and evaluate oral health improvement programmes across West Northamptonshire, aligned with national guidance and local priorities.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver high-quality oral health training and education to diverse audiences (health, education, social care, schools, care homes, community partners).
• Support development and delivery of oral health activities within adult social care with care providers and partner organisations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with West Northamptonshire Council, health and care services, education and early years settings, adult social care providers and community organisations.
• Monitor programme activity, outcomes and performance against KPIs, and produce high-quality reports for commissioners and senior management.
• Undertake audit and evaluation of programmes using qualitative and quantitative methods to show impact and drive service improvement.

Job description

Location: Peterborough & West Northamptonshire, PE1 1TN

Main Responsibilities

• 1. Plan, coordinate, develop, deliver, monitor and evaluate a range of evidence-based oral health improvement programmes across West Northamptonshire, in line with national guidance, local oral health priorities, identified population need and commissioner requirements. This will include supervised toothbrushing, workforce development and oral health improvement programmes supporting adult social care.
• 2. Plan, coordinate and deliver high-quality, evidence-based oral health training and education to a wide range of audiences, including health, education and social care professionals, early years and school staff, care home and adult social care staff, and other community partners, adapting delivery to meet the needs of different groups and settings.
• 3. Support the development, coordination and delivery of oral health improvement activity within adult social care, working with care providers and partner organisations to embed evidence-based oral health approaches within everyday care and practice
• 4. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with West Northamptonshire Council, health and care services, education and early years settings, adult social care providers, voluntary and community organisations and other relevant partners to support coordinated approaches to oral health improvement.
• 5. Monitor programme activity, outcomes and performance against agreed key performance indicators, maintaining accurate records and producing high-quality reports for commissioners and senior management.
• 6. Undertake audit and evaluation of oral health improvement programmes, using appropriate qualitative and quantitative methods to identify learning, demonstrate impact and inform continuous service improvement.
