Mould Process Technician - 3 shift rotation (mornings, afternoons, nights)

Main Purpose of the Job

This role involves working as part of a rotating 3-shift mould team for injection moulding production and new project launches.

Main Responsibilities

• Achieve cycle times that match or improve upon the costed cycle.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, such as material usage and masterbatch.
• Support setters as the first point of contact for technical issues on shift.
• Ensure documentation is completed accurately for current tooling, with correct date stamps and H&S requirements met.
• Check machine settings against master parameters.
• Complete tool changes and start-ups following the specified procedures.
• Issue first-off parts for approval once the process is stable and producing quality parts.
• Ensure all process documentation is correctly completed and stored.
• Monitor and weigh purge waste as per company policy.
• Adhere to all responsibilities of Technicians and setters.
• Identify and suggest improvements for tooling and equipment issues.
• Reduce tool change times through effective practices and team education.
• Lead or assist with tool changes to meet production plans.
• Continuously improve processes and record relevant data accurately.
• Maintain flexibility in working hours, including overtime as required.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• IMT3 Injection Moulding
• SMED understanding and implementation
• Knowledge of polymers, drying, processing, and HSE implications
