Job summary

GM Performance Power Units in Doncaster is seeking a 2nd Shift Quality Technician responsible for advanced dimensional inspection using CMMs and optical systems. You will develop inspection programs, interpret GD&T, and mentor junior staff to ensure accurate data for production and R&D components.

The role requires strong metrology know-how, problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive improvements in a fast-paced motorsport environment onsite at our Doncaster facility.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or technical diploma with hands-on metrology experience.
• Strong GD&T knowledge for aerospace/auto drawings.
• Experience with tactile CMMs and optical scanning systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute complex inspections using CMMs and optical systems.
• Develop and validate inspection programs from CAD/drawings.
• Interpret GD&T requirements and advise on measurement feasibility.
• Lead investigations into dimensional nonconformances.
• Mentor junior technicians and support continuous improvement.
